My name is Beverly Carter, and while I am a new Red Cross volunteer, I am pleased to write today in support of Giving Tuesday.
When the Red Cross came to my church for a blood drive, I knew of the organization’s excellent reputation, and I wanted to help do great things for people in need. Additionally, seeing pictures of Red Crossers serving the public during disasters was impactful.
Along with giving time as a volunteer, I want to share some of my blessings in the way of a financial donation to the Red Cross. While I give to my church and other charities, I want to align this giving with my volunteer efforts. I can see that the money is going to a great cause. I’m sold on the Red Cross as a top-notch charity helping people in their time of need, and I am encouraging my fellow Red Crossers to make a gift on Giving Tuesday. As you and I know, our gifts will help many people in need.
Mark your calendar for Giving Tuesday, November 30th, as the day to join the global movement of generosity. Red Cross North Texas Giving Tuesday.
Warm regards,
Beverly Carter
