The American Red Cross wants to express our sincere appreciation to City Electric Supply for their ongoing support of the Red Cross mission.

Through CES Cares, the philanthropic arm of City Electric Supply, CES has proudly supported the American Red Cross since 2017, when the partnership was formed to provide relief and recovery after Hurricane Harvey.

“It’s a great feeling knowing that we’re partnered with such an amazing organization that does so much for families in need,” said Karen Gray, CES Social Impact Manager. “I’m so glad CES can help the American Red Cross in any way they need.”

In recent years, the Red Cross has seen the heartbreak of families and communities trying to cope with more intense storms, heavier rainfall, higher temperatures, stronger hurricanes, and more devastating wildfires. And for the vulnerable communities who are disproportionately impacted by the increased and virtually chronic frequency of these events, help cannot come soon enough.

To help address the increased need, CES has donated more than $425,000 toward the Red Cross mission.  As a Red Cross Ready 365 partner, these contributions help ensure the Red Cross can prepare before, during, and after disasters strike.

“Last fall, Hurricanes Laura, Sally, and Delta upended thousands of peoples’ lives in Gulf Coast communities, and the American Red Cross was by their side, providing a safe refuge, warm meals, and sorely needed emotional support,” said Diane Stephenson, senior officer of corporate partnerships, American Red Cross North Texas Region. “We could be there for hurricane survivors thanks to the generous gifts we received from City Electric Supply and others.”

In addition to the large-scale national disaster relief support, regional CES offices have partnered with the Red Cross to address additional community needs. By helping with the recent apartment explosion in south Dallas that displaced hundreds of people and hosting blood drives to bring in critical blood products, CES has remained a key partner in making a positive impact in North Texas and beyond.

“Whether responding to disasters or collecting lifesaving blood, it takes many people and partner organizations to meet the needs of the community,” said Keith Rhodes, CEO, American Red Cross North Texas Region. “We appreciate City Electric Supply for their support and long-standing commitment to the Red Cross mission, and we are proud to partner with them to make a positive impact for neighbors in need.”

The Red Cross mission is only made possible thanks to the generosity of donors and dedication of incredible volunteers. To join CES in making a positive difference through the Red Cross give blood, sign-up to volunteer, or donate at redcross.org/CityElectricSupply.
