The Red Cross is opening a shelter for the residents of the apartment complex damaged by this morning’s storms that hit
North Texas and Stephenville in Erath County.
16 units were destroyed, and the building has no power. The exact number of people that might use this shelter is unknown at this time.

A severe weather threat continues in North Texas so everyone should be prepared for the possibility of more damaging storms. Be prepared with your disaster preparedness plan, stay tuned to local media and download the Red Cross Emergency Preparedness app (http://rdcrss.org/23X5Zqq).
Red Cross teams will continue to respond to the needs of the people in North Texas from the Disaster Relief Headquarters set up at the American Red Cross in Fort Worth, Texas.
